First time a feature film will be shown at the Seattle Shorts Film Festival. Screening Before I Disappear, the feature-length adaptation of the 2012 Oscar-winning short film Curfew.

A troubled young man and his straight-laced niece embark on a thrilling odyssey through New York City in the heartrending drama based on the Oscar-winning short Curfew. 

Special guests : Actress Fatima Ptacek (Voice of Dora the Explorer) and producer Brendan Hubbard are scheduled to attend.

Navigating the Film Festival Circuit – 12:30pm @ SIFF Film Center 

Have you ever wondered why so many filmmakers submit to film festivals? Maybe if you’re a filmmaker you’d asked the question, why is my film getting rejected? The Seattle Shorts Film Festival has the perfect answer for the curious festivalgoer or that up, and coming filmmaker! Join us Saturday afternoon at the SIFF Film Center for a Q&A panel of Seattle Shorts Film Festival alumni. Wonder how to get your film into festivals, this award-winning panel can tell you. Also learn all about how each filmmaker takes their projects from conception to post-production, and beyond. 

This panel will feature Wonder Russell popular (local Seattle actress), Bunee Tomlinson (Emmy award-winning director), Kendra Ann Sherrill (Award-winning Spokane director), and Joseph Marconi (Director of the festival favorite Woodhouse starring Lecy Goranson, from the hit sitcom Roseanne).

Dance Party – Seattle Center Pavilion  (Free Admission) (7pm – 12am)

Come celebrate with us at the party of the year Saturday November, 12th from 7pm – 12am with our Dance Party at the Seattle Center Pavilion. For those who attend the festival everyone is invited for great music, conversation, and food! Meet actress (Voice of Dora the Explorer) Fatima Ptacek, and another filmmakers from across the country. This event will feature a live DJ, and full service caterer.

Note: Free colorfully wristbands will be handed out at the SIFF Film Center all day Friday and Saturday, which will grant full access to our dance party.

Each winning film will receive our one of a kind etched in glass crystal awards votedon by our all-star jury of working professionals in the entertainment industry.
